Road noise

I love the look of my BFGs but after a drive to the Netherlands I’m not sure I can cope with the drone much longer. How much noisier are they than ‘regular’ tyres? They were on the van when I bought it so have nothing to compare to apart from a California I hired 3 years ago.

I seem to recall from my LR days that Cooper ATT's had a more interlocking tread pattern so sere quieter than the Big Friendly Giants. That's was a good decade ago so I can't say if that's still true, but if it is it gives you the looks with less hum.

There’s so much life in them I’m reluctant to swap them out. I think I’ll deaden the arches and scuttle panel and see what effect that has. I can’t see it making a significant difference though.

I absolutely adore my BF Goodrich tyres. Very hard wearing, perform well and look great!
