Just a thought, is there an option for a (2018 T6) RHD DSG gear selection panel? i.e. the selector panel being on the right side!?
Or if not Has anyone ‘engineered’ one!?
Cheers!

I know its a bit lazy of VW not to swap it round, but I've also never got the need to swap it over. If you really need to know, its in the instrument cluster. Why on Earth you would need to loo down to see what gear its I will never know. Just puzzles me.

I know you can get ones without it on either side.

I think some fit a Tiguan shifter that has P, R, N, D & S illuminated on it.

Id like to see the gear im selecting. Anywho my point being, do you know of any methods to swap round the gear selector panel from Nearside to offside or have you managed to engineer one.

When my wife got in a flap when first driving an auto, I just told her to count down from Park, ready, steady, go.

Yeah I agree it’s a bit lazy of VW not thinking of us RHD guys. Even my key has to go in the passenger door lock not the drivers side. We beat the Germans in 2 world wars but they are getting there own back on us now!!

Doesn't help that the gear selection indicator is so small on the cluster - and it's the same size / similar position to the compass. My driveway and road out of my estate points south so often when I set off I think I've put it in Sports mode and not Drive when I glance down at the cluster. Dunno if there's anyway to change that other than to reverse all the way out to the main road!

That's actually a build spec issue, rather than something that's been done on purpose. There was a tpi released, relating to this problem at some point as they'd been built in a LHD configuration.

Thanks for this, much appreciated🤘🏼

So they spent nearly 10 years building DSG transporters and no one noticed they were all being built with LHD gear lever surrounds?
