Removal of centre air vents

I’m in the process of fitting a aftermarket radio which I need to remove the centre vents around the radio dash surround.
The outer edge just unclips nice but the inner edge looks like there is 5 tabs on each and looks like they have been moulded over ?
Any one have any ideas how to remove these with damaging it 👍

It does look like they have been molded in to place, dont they? I'm assuming you have a new dash surround for the new head unit? any clues on how the vents would mount on that?

Out of interest, what head unit you go for?

Any luck with this? I am doing the same with my Caravelle, I tried grinding the top but they didn't release well and now won't clip into the new head unit fascia. Does anyone know if you can buy these vents on their own? Have only found places selling them already attached to the rest of the fascia.

Yes you can buy these vents and panel from the likes of TPS or the dealers.
EBay might be worth a look.
