Reimo Variotech Woes

Evening. I’ve read the threads about people’s problems with rattling Reamo seats. I’ve got it too. However I think I know the root cause.

One of my brakes has stopped working and when applied in its own the seat moves. It’s in its full adjustment using the small Allen key screws that are all the way in. I think the rubber wheel may be worn away. To replace this is it a seat out job?

Thanks

The wheels aren’t the brakes. The brake is a solid block that lifts up on a cam to the underside of the rail. I can’t remember off hand which way you screw the grub screws in to tighten the brake, but IIRC it’s not the direction that you’d expect. I’d take another look at it.
