Recommendations For A Short Trip....

Evening all,

I’m heading to a Wedding over in Durham in early September. After it, my partner is going away for a girls weekend so I thought it would be ideal to go the ‘long way home’ back to Carlisle over a few days, 3 nights possibly

I’m thinking about heading up the coast round by Seahouses/Berwick (Holy Island?) upto North Berwick area then coming back down by Peebles/Innerleithen/Down the A7. I’ve never been round this area and the route isn’t set at all so I’m looking for recommendations of places to go and things to see, bareing in mind I’ll be on my own

I've got a Panel Van so my plan is to just sleep in the back on my campbed, either Wild Camping or on a site

Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated

holy island and that part of the coast is really nice and well worth going highly recommended, there are a couple of places to park van on holy island when I went a couple of years back.

Another vote for Lindisfarne - no places to camp over there officially but easy to accidentally gets the tides wrong and get yourself stranded for 5 or 6 extra hours

The coastline and beaches up there are stunning and mostly deserted for miles on end.

The Barn at Beal which is a stones throw from Holy Island has a small campsite with hookups nice place & some good food.
