Recommendation for first trip

Just ordering a folding mattress so hopefully after along time fettling my van, me and the Mrs can nip away for a night or two. The van is a kombi day van not full camper, t6.1 swb with a pullout drawer/bed similar to Ovano or van king but I built myself. We're based in Shepperton Surrey.

Looking for recommendations for a campsite for a night or two away. Don't mind somewhere down the south coast. Also any tips for items that we'll need. Well probably go out for food but might cook breakfast.

Found one on Amazon today £134 looks ok only 80mm I was getting the 150mm one everyone recommends of Amazon but don't want to be too close to the roof. Search VW t6 folding mattress

I know ours was Covid enforced, but can you spend a night on your driveway? Was very helpful to us.

Everything is at hand, you can make lists and fetch stuff.

Find somewhere on pitchup.com a reasonable distance from home. 10-20 miles and just see how it goes.

Doesn't really matter where you are. It's just a field haha.
