Rear ladder roof rack for a glazed tailgate with spoiler

I was fancying a full size roof rack for my van. But I thought I would need a ladder, and most have them on the back. But I have a glazed tailgate and a spoiler, and I dont fancy one mounted on the side. So for those who have a rack and no ladder, do you just carry a ladder around.

Yep, a small collapsible one does the trick for me when I have the roofbox on. I think the issue is your spoiler not your glazed rear.
