Radio not turning off when locking

Does anyone know why my radio isn't turning off when locking the doors? It's just started doing this.

It shuts off when I remove the key from the ignition but if I just open the van and then close it doesn't turn the radio off anymore. It now also only makes one locking noise when you press the key twice.

The van is locked but something seems to have happened to it in the past couple of weeks. It's more of a nuisance now.

I'm not sure I understand your concerns.

The radio turns off when you remove the ignition key. This is what it is supposed to do. Are you saying that your radio has turned off when you open the door, presumably with the key still in the ignition? I'm pretty sure it shouldn't do that. Some Vauxhalls keep the radio on after removing the key, but turn it off when the drivers door is opened, but it's not a VW thing.

Also, one press of the remote deadlocks the van, 2 presses disables the deadlocks. If you have comfort locking, pressing and holding the remote closes the windows and folds the mirrors.

Hi sorry didn't explain myself well. If I need to get something from the van and I press to open the radio comes on and then when closing the radio use to turn off. This doesn't happen now and the radio continues to play after locking, I now have to put the key in the ignition to turn it off before locking.

So unlocking the van turns the radio on? It shouldn't do that. Which radio do you have?
