Problematic rotating light switch removal

Any thoughts on how to succesfully remove the rotating light switch on a 2017 model T6?

Trying to unlock the locking latches by pressing the switch while the selector is in off-position does not allow the selector to move inwards. After the switch is turned clock-wise to park lights, it does not release the switch to be pulled out.

I’ve done it easily before, tried it the other day on the same van, no chance????

On my golf it does not require pressing with any force to be succesful with the removal...

Sometimes the catches get stuck, especially if its an aftermarket switch they get stuck a lot.
In the past i just get playing and wiggling it until the catches semi retract and you can get it out, if you get really stuck i think you can remove the dash end panel and look in sideways and manipulate one of the catches ?

I saw one latch behind the dash end panel, but was unable to release the switch by moving it. I think there is at least one catch inside that I am unable to get to.
