Gotcha. I think we still want this to happen and selling the van will cost us more to buy another one in the long run. It was hard to find a DSG T6 T28 that wasn't really expensive.I meant use a loan/CC to get a poptop, then sell-on.
If we can get the pop top and the seats fitted, we can use it for day trips with the kids. Struggling to deal with this all to be honest as we've had the van for almost 12 months, waiting to get it in for a respray, then waiting for a slot for conversion. It's going to be another 1, 3, 6+ months before we can use it for anything.
Following on from our disaster (link above to that story) I'm trying to work out where the conversion company were planning the leisure battery and diesel heater fitting. Here's the cables that were run, and I know that we were having solar and 240v hookup. And the starter and leisure batteries were going to be charged from solar and mains. The alternator/starter batter would also charge the leisure battery while driving as well.
Any best guess at where the leisure battery and heater were going to be installed?

I was thinking this MPPT controller would do the job, not sure if they would fit this under the drivers seat or in the kitchen area:
