Poptop queries

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me as im new to the minefield that is T6 conversions!!

Recently bought a fully converted T6 (yay go me!) But my god has she been well adventured! We've used it a few times and realised the set up wasn't quite right for us, so now on the rabbit hole of converting it!

Anyway, my main question...I have taken a piece of fiberglass moulding away from the front end of the van, where the poptop roof lashes down to (it slots over the existing roof and over the internal cab headliner) as I want to change the carpet on it. However, i have realised the fiberglass moulding is broken.

Has anyone else got said moulding in their van or know where i can get a replacement?

Or has anyone got any tips on how to do away with the moulding and replace with something else?!

Thanks all.1000088396.webp1000088395.webp1000088394.webp

It’s not structural (I think). I would pull the old carpet off, and fix it with fibreglass, or even just glue it with Araldite.

My van has a thin metal strip screwed in, and then a rubber trim lips over it. Your solution probably looks better.

How is it broken? Fractured? If it's not a mechanical or anchoring element to the pop top you can probably get a little GRP kit to repair it.

Thanks so much for the reply. Its definitely not structural, it just allows the pop top bed to sit in it and houses the brackets to strap the roof down.

I was literally just thinking about fixing the fiberglass, as I cant see another way round of replacing it or alternative ideas.

Ill let you know how it goes!

Thanks again!
