Has anyone any experience in repairing a hole in the fabric of a pop top ?
The fabric was caught in the rear hinge whilst closing the top in high winds
Is there any repair kits you can buy ?
Horizon/ Hi Low pop tops want £250 to repair it
Any ideas much appreciated
Cheers

The last repair I saw on a top top was a canvas patch with rounded corners.

Glued to the inside, to cover the damaged area.

Depending on the size of the hole, Tear Aid would be my go to - I repaired a tear in my pop top canvas 4 years ago with it and it’s still spot on. Use a patch on either side and wipe each side down with isopropyl alcohol before sticking them on.

FWIW, here's a picture that I've just taken of the patch on the outside. it's actually been there on for five years now rather than the four mentioned above. The van has been parked up at home in all weathers and patch itself has been exposed to some very hot sunshine in southern europe as well as heavy rain when we've been on our travels as we always have the roof up when pitched. The Tear Aid that you need is 'Type A' - don't be put of by the cost for quite a small amount as it's well worth it. In terms of application, as mentioned above, if you do use it make sure to clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and a lint free cloth and I found it helpful to get my wife to push a book onto the other side so that there was a flat surface to press on to.
