Pitch size

Hi all

We've just bought a vango galli airbeam awning. Has anyone else got this and can this fit on a standard pitch or do we need a supersize pitch?

Thanks

We've just bought one too, and will try it out for the first time this weekend. If I've worked it out right we should be 6.3m wide in total, so I'm hoping we can just about squeeze on to normal pitches as long as they don't look too closely. Guess we'll find out tomorrow!

We were lucky and got a big pitch, but not any wider than our old awning I don't think, so hoping to be fine. Will tell the sites we're 6m as it's only just over.

Really pleased with the Galli, fully up in 15 minutes by myself with no hassle, loads of well thought out space, and folded away fine too. Took a lot longer to line up properly with the awning rail on the van, but I think (hope) that's a question of practice/training my assistant better.

We've got the footprint, which is OK but thin, and the carpet which seemed quite expensive on purchase but I already wouldn't be without as we have a crawling baby and it's much more comfortable and insulating than I'd expected.

That is enormous, I've got the Idris 2 which turned out to be far bigger than I needed, but that one looks like you could park the van inside it :)

Allows for maximum space between me and the 800 items of plastic crap that my kids insist on spreading round the tent within 5 minutes of arrival!

Excellent!! 15 mins setup and the size are the main reasons we bought the galli..I didn't go for the footprint or the carpet but I think the carpet will be a future purchase. Thanks for the info

No worries @Dave Potts. No 1 tip is to peg out the corners before inflating the beams. We didn't when we first put up our old Vango Attar and there was much swearing! The 15 mins for the Galli was definitely helped by a couple of practice runs on that awning though, so might be worth budgeting slightly longer first time round.

Ooh...wish I'd got the galli...the kela was a bit cramped...but we aren't very organised and a bit untidy. It was wet too, so we were inside much of the time.
