Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT

Hi all, I am looking to upgrade my VW Transporter T6 (2016) LWB van's head unit with the Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT unit which has a new mounting system (not DIN related).

I bought the Pioneer head unit already as it was on a tidy sale, and it seems the only mounting kit is from Aerpro, the AKVW15 or AKVW4 which come with the mounting kit, plus some of the wiring looms.

Has anyone installed on of these newer style units?
If so, how did you have it installed? Did you DIY? Please send photos or Videos!

To close the loop - nobody replied in here so I ended up getting it installed by a car AV company.

Now the unit is switching between day/night mode which is really distracting when driving at night - it'll go from low night mode to full brightness every couple of minutes. Still troubleshooting whether it's the new unit, some sensor, or a CAN Bus issue.

I thought headunits were connected to the lighting circuit so they only dim when the headlights come on. Although can you change this in the settings?

Yeah when the headlights are on it does dim, but it'll go back to full brightness randomly too
