Passenger Seat Electrics (Existing)

Hi quick question, I am about to start fitting the electrics into my passenger seat base and want to tidy/reposition the existing VW connectors.

To save space I was thinking of unclipping the green connectors and repositioning them into the spare holes on the other side of the frame to have them all in one rail and then cut of the surplus rail and remount on inner side (drivers side) of passenger base?

Can I do this without disconnecting the battery and has anyone else done this already?

Yes I did similar. Cut down the existing mount and repositioned on the side where you plan.
All the factory cabling was long enough and I’ve disconnected / reconnected them multiple times with the battery still connected (but ignition off) without any issue at all.
