What starts off as just checking always ends up as a major strip out and money. Tried running new fuel lines and noticed dodgy repar, had to lift body off with some assistance. Now new complete chassis rebuild luckily the whole chassis just fits inside the T6 to take off for soda blasting.
Finally managed (after 8 years in the UK) to bring my Golf over from germany. Anyone experience with the registration of a classic car from abroad?
Wheels are just on it so I don´t ruin the semi´s. Not driving golden wheels on a red/yellow car
Thanks,
I´ve seen and read all of them.
Still have some problems to get all the figures they require together.
I got the birth certificate of the car from VW, a fresh MOT and all the german paperwork (e.g. V5).
Unbelievable got camper back and about to head off in T6 next month abroad and was informed by insurance they can't give a value on camper until it's finished. Looks like a mad weekend of finishing it off. Wonder how any think the campers both old and new are insured for what they think when not finished. Come Sunday this will be complete.
Interior nearly there, all sound deadening and headliner completed. Bit of a pisser the roof got damaged there.
Wiring stripped and refitted, final loose ends and test it all next weekend.
Hoping to be complete for show season in April.
Well, that's a year since getting it back on the road. Had a few issues, faulty fuel pump relays mostly, but the majority of the time it's been fine.
This was taken at Classics at the Clubhouse back in June.
