Just how many people are driving around at the mo in a van without A/C?
Heard it said soooo many times
"got windows, dont need a/c" or
"You only need it twice a year anyway"
Well on the wishlist we had for our van a/c was one of the non negotiable things for us and so glad to have it right now..

Got it it in All my vehicles, even the 'vert, and professionally fitted throughout the house.

Was speaking to my sister who's been staying at our place in South Uist, she says its been relatively cool and wet, but in between the rain its uncharacteristically sticky.

We bought our bus so we could go and explore Europe and I wasnt willing to do that in a sweaty tin can .
It's meant to be a leisure vehicle after all.
People spend big money on their vans yet I still see plenty of converters turning out non a/c vans and managing to shift them.

My wife saw a post on facebook where a woman had posted about the Transporter they had just bought, and had come back from the converters with pop top etc. But neither she or her husband noticed their van did not have A/C. She was not pleased.

The van aircon is on permanently, summer and winter. Keeps us cool in summer and dry in winter. We have ac in our bedrooms and one room in the house. As I write this we’re in Spain, it’s 0930 and 32C outside, 40C is forecast. The schools are open, trains are running, people are at work.

Not had our home or camper van AC on yet not hot enough as only 36C today here in Spain  but when in the road in the tin can its a must......hope all in UK keeps safe for the next few days. 🤞

I still struggle to understand how VW can churn out these vans and still expect people to pay tens of thousands of pounds for the base van without air conditioning when some vehicles costing much less when new have it as standard.
Like you, I consider it a "must have".

This was my view last year and it hasn't changed!

No AC in my vans and have never needed it.
Even lately
If it’s hot I wind both windows down a bit.
Got it in all my other vehicles and barely use it.
Certainly don’t miss it in my camper.
Not nearly as big a deal as everyone says.
Doesn’t put me up nor down.

I have to say that I find the AC in my 6.1 is absolutely brilliant. Frostier than a freshly made snowman.
Absolutely agree.
I am in a work trip in Italy, horribly hot workplace, no AC either in my apartment, thanks God I have my Kombi. As for others , AC was a non negotiable extra on my baseline.

After gettin on it Monday evening after work I had to change my sweaty shirt otherwise it would become an ice cube! I had nothing else than a winter pile sweater, but it did very comfortably (until I had to get out :( )
