just thought id share the latest pic of my wee van. Got the wheels on today & chuffed to bits. The rack will be coming off this weekend, i had a tent box on there until recently.

Diesel heater & charger 2 will be installed in 2 weeks & then the ply guys conversion on 11th of April. I’ll post more pics as i go along.

Probs need to look into mud-flaps next.

Cheers!IMG_4716.jpeg

Thanks buddy.

No complaints with the windows, although i havent really used them much yet as my conversion isnt completed. They look the part though.
They certainly do!

I ahave been toying with them for a while. I have leaky OEM sliders which were sealed closed by previous owner. They don’t leak but I wouldn’t mind safari’s instead, although I don’t want issues with leaks that could happen when replacing Doh!

I see a few people on here switched out their old leaky windows for safari windows, quite effectively. Worth having a look around.

I've noticed a 7mpg drop in fuel economy since added the new wheels & tyres. I was expecting maybe 3,4 or even 5, but 7mpg is quite the sacrifice.

A 30 minute drive on the motorway in to work im usually sitting at 40 mpg, now its more like 33. The things we do for ascetics eh. Feel a bit daft now, not enough to switch the wheels mind you 😂

Your bigger rolling diameter wheels are travelling further per revolution, so the computer doesn't think you've travelled as far as you actually have for the amount of fuel used.
Use a GPS speedo to check against the reading on the dash.

Yeah i thought this might be the case so checked it last night. At 60 on the van speedo the GPS was recording 64, not a huge difference but worth being mindful of for sure. This did make me feel better about the MPG. Realistically its probably more like a 2-3mpg sacrifice, i can live with that.

Loving the bigger wheels though man!
