This is fifth Transporter. Started off in 2008 with a 2007 105 SWB van, then a 2010 140 6sp Kombi, then a 2017 Caravelle Exec 150 DSG, then a 2017 204 Kombi DSG, now a 204 (or 199?) DSG 6.1 Kombi.
Such brilliant vans to drive. I’ve been so lucky with all the vans I’ve had, long may it continue!
I’m spoilt with the new one, so many optional extras the original (and only) previous owner took quite a hit on the value from new.
Anyway, some before and after pics to show.
There’s still plenty to do, but I’m loving it this far.
Bits changed:
- SoLow Eibach -45mm spring kit and new Polybush PU rear lower spring seats.
- Wolfrace Munch wheels (18”, standard Sportline size tyres)
- Gloss black grill inserts
- gloss black rear bumper protector
- Sportline tailgate spoiler
- OMTEC / OEM VW black roof bars
- 2x extra OEM lights in the load area roof lining.
Still to go:
- gloss black front grills top and bottom
- decide on a front splitter / spoiler
- black trapezoid side bars
- at least front mud flaps (protect the sidebars)
- darker tints on rear windows
- carpet and insulate the rear area.
Not much left to go . That’s got to wait until the bank balance catches up!
