New T6 - some help please?

Hi, my new T6 Kombi has just been delivered and I’m wondering what the plastic housing on the drivers side of the load compartment is? I ordered Kh3 Climate cab & passenger compartment A/C, I think that the unit that they’ve supplied if for a camper or Cali? Can anyone help me please?

I have the rear heating and air con in my combi. The roof vents blow cold air down when you have the temp set to the blue part the front control (side of gear stick) and when you have it in the the red (heating) the rear floor blower gives out hot air. Well thats what mine does any way.

How well does it work with rear bulkhead in ?
Are the hot air vents only right at the back ie behind the bulkhead, thinking that will stop the rear passengers warming up so quickly

Yes dont really understand that part. I find the rear heater really good TBH , keeps um happy in the back + i think it helps heat the front too. just depends on your requirements i imagine
Cant comment on the cold air from the roof vents as i have only experimented to see how they work , but it was blowing so good cold air out so should work well on a hot day. We shall see :)

It was delivered without the control panel so I haven’t had a chance to see how it works yet. I am waiting for the part to come in from VW : (
I wasn’t expecting the roof vents to be in the cargo area, just in the passenger section. When the rep dropped it off he said that it was fitted to the cargo area by mistake but that I wouldn’t be charged for it. They’ve now butchered the bulk head to fit it around the ducting. Not at all the sleek finish that I was expecting and I’ve got a feeling that they have fitted the wrong thing. Can someone identify if this is how it should look?

Does yours look like this too? Could you upload a photo please?

This is the front controls. The rest is the same as you have. Have you no controls then ??

The control panel works the rear hot/cold independently from the other front a/c heating controls , so hows that suppose to work then

Yep, it's a heat exchanger and looks quite normal. I've seen and even sold a few of these myself.
The heat comes from both the rear and front side of your "plastic housing" - just look at the vent grills.

I have rear climatronic on our Cali and there is a "rear" button on one of the knobs that allows you to control it.

Anyone else think the rear heating controls are stupidly easy placed in the roof? I always end up adjusting rear temp when asked by rear passengers as they can't easily see or reach them when belted in.

On my old kombi I had the same rear heater and a/c ,if you have air con turned on in the front then use rear roof vents it came out ac cold as long as you turn the rear control to cold .

Yep thats what I've got, it will be ok to cool the rear passengers but no use to them for heating with the bulkhead in.
