Hi All,

Awaiting my collection of an Ascot Grey T6.1 from Salop Vans currently so thought I’d say hello.

I’ve always loved my cars, and owned various different things from a home built 350hp turbocharged Suzuki swift sport to my last pride and joy a silver 997s with factory aero kit which I sold a few years ago but I’ve never owned a van.

Since selling the 911 I’ve been driving around in bargain buys used mainly for transporting stuff to the tip whilst I renovate the house and I’ve absolutely loved the freedom of it, but I’m ready to get back into something that is a bit of a nicer place to be and the T6.1 seemed like the perfect balance for me.

Looks like a really great forum and I look forward to seeing everyone’s builds:)

Have a great week,

Lee

Christ all bloody mighty!

340 ponies is a bit of a handful in my mk1 C70 T5, so 350 in a shower tray with wheels must be rather interesting!

Exclamations of astonishment out the way, so greetings and welcome.

Yeah power to weight makes that abit of a handful and trying to get that usable through the front wheels would be interesting. 🤪

Thanks all!

It had an LSD and boost by gear which helped, but it was a bit of a handful. That one’s very much missed.

Hoping I can keep the mods on the van sensible 😅😬

Due to collect Friday :) so will share some pics once I have it home.

Cheers,

Lee

That must put a very big smile on your face every time it’s underestimated!

Hi All, I’ve had the van a little while now so thought I’d add some pictures.

It’s booked in to have the splitter, spoiler and handles (including boot handle) sprayed the same colour as the body.

I’ll also be removing the chrome from the grill, fitting some rear spacers and removing the roof bars shortly before saving for the bigger changes I have planned :-)

Cheers,

Lee
