@shropschris the range looks good in that. The max load length and also payload would need considered. Some of your 'creations' look pretty heavy! I moved to an electric van and must say I am impressed, with one of my setups I can get 8x4 sheets in rear and 3.6m length through between front seats (swb). It also tows with ease. I know the custom is being offered now with larger battery with slightly better range. No doubt will cross over into VW as well or perhaps is already an option.

We are really thinking of getting to and from work and the odd small delivery site visit ext. We send most of our work out on an 18 ton truck .
At the moment I spend £50 per week on fuel in our T6 .1
We are considering a smaller EV and a slightly older sprinter or crafter as a larger delivery/ materials van

Lol. Ah yes an 18 tonner looks more like the tool for moving some of your seating ha! An E Van sounds like a good fit for your setup. I reckon mine will cost me around £8.50 to fully home charge overnight and get between 110 to 150 miles currently depending on weather (heater and seats etc Def impact my range). Have you considered any other E vans? The Fo*d or VW offerings for standard panel and even kombi or shuttle always seem to have offers and deals. Perhaps a little big for your needs.

I saw a Mitie Buildings Maintenance van the other day, a Buzz. My first thought is how much are they charging customers to make this pay.
My second thought was the step ladder that was being juggled out of the van barely fitted along with the few toolboxes, a truly ridiculous choice of work vehicle.

That Kia is very cheap! On an overnight rate I’m paying 6.9p/kwh so it would be much cheaper to run than my diesel.

My T6.1 camper has many more years in it yet, but I’m fairy sure its replacement will be able to be an electric van. Be nice if it has a VW badge too, but those letters seem to cost 10k each now!

It was the smaller size that had me thinking , we could squeeze a 2 meter bench in it at a push for local delivery , but most of the time we have boxes of components or air in the back of the transporter , we use it for local delivery and comute to work in it 20 miles each way , then in the summer I put boxes in and turn it into a camper . A bigger van would be more suitable as a work van van but not really a daily driver , our 6,1 is 3 years old now so still a very desirable van we either hold onto it for another 2 years or sell up and buy a cheaper mwb large van and lease a smaller ev

you can lease one for £200 per month Mitie would have the buying power to have it cheaper than that , it would be far cheaper than a diesel to run
