We tow our 23ft caravan with a 102. New to towing and struggled a bit on hills, need to drop a gear now and again. We have the van booked in at Pendle in a couple of weeks to improve the BHP. Should be better after that.

Towed with our new 150 DSG kombi swb a few times now (1600 Kg Coachmann single axle caravan, with the kombi full of the family plus junk). Comparing it to the Touareg I used to have I really don't notice any difference in ability, interesting as the T-Reg was a 3 litre 204 engine and had 4x4.
Even reversed the caravan up a slight incline onto the pitch with no issue at all.
