I’d appreciate some advice on the compatibility of a LED lamp driver and 9 LED lamps, not a van project, this is in my house.

LED Driver

and 9x LAP G4 Capsule LED Light Bulb 180lm 1.8W 12V 4 Pack

The driver is rated at 60-100W, the sum of the bulbs is less than this, if I understand it correctly 9x 1.8W doubled allowing for a lamp power factor of 0.5 = 32.4W
As I understand it the driver has more capacity than the lamps require but it will allow for additional lamps in the future, plus the driver price is good and there is no space restriction.

My question is will this work?

As you say load wise you've got spare capacity however when I've seen issues in the past with multiple LED fittings connected to a single driver it's been where the driver is a constant current type and the Collingswood fittings wanted a constant voltage type... in that case they started flashing after about 4 fittings were connected in series.

Thanks for your input. Yes, constant voltage / constant current???? I’ve read up on the theory but there’s a lack of info on the bulb spec and the driver spec so I’m in the dark really. The Ebay vendor has said it will work, it’s only 9 quid inc’ delivery and they take returns so it’s more lost time with trial and error than anything else.

I'll be honest that was a one off with the Collingwood fittings, it stuck in my mind as it was a mates job and he had installed the spots (8 in total) into the floor in front of the skirting board washing up the walls, mad panic but sorted using t'interweb and replacing the driver.

You should be alright, I've even seen the old 12v transformers used to drive mr16 type led spotlights despite me telling the guy that it wouldn't work with a 12 volt AC supply... I keep my trap shut these days... can't stop my typing finger blurting stuff out though!
