My old T5 headunit in new T6

Excuse my ignorance but can I fit my old T5's head unit in my T6 ?

The T5 factory units are not supported, the can gateway won’t recognise it, reversing camera won’t work either. But the top unit in your photo looks aftermarket?

Gutted, loved my old big screen.
Annoyingly my T6 doesn't have a reverse cam. Can one be fitted to work with the T6's headunit?

Yeah that unit will take a reverse camera no problem

I think @Loz and @Dav-Tec replies read that the big screen aftermarket unit will work in your T6.

Ahh, think I may have misunderstood. So factory T5 units will not work in my T6 but my aftermarket T5 headunit might?

Correct T5 factory unit is a no go, the aftermarket one should do and the one you currently have is the discover media unit which was VW's flagship headunit for the T6 and other models when it was released. That unit is quite a good unit depending what your after. Why are you thinking of swapping it is it screen size?

Thanks Dav-Tec. Yeah, the screen size is the main issue really. It seems tiny after my old one. However, can anyone point me in the right direction for a reverse cam if I decide to keep it?
