So I've pulled the trigger on this VW T6.1 based Weinsberg X Cursion MQ 500 pepper edition. End of season bargain.

It'll be here in 3 weeks right in the middle of my ski week :uh run:.

It has some great write ups and is on another level. Big enough for me and Ed!

I did not buy it from Don Amott cos they would not part ex an 'unapproved T6 conversion' only those from Camper king, Redhill and another company. But I am using their YouTube vid. Mine has a couple of more extras than this.

I got it from Bridgend Leisure. Nice honest guy and was very straight with me.

Now to start selling T6 stuff, awning, sun canopies etc that are of no use too me.

They do look the business!

I love the one they do with the rear door and front loung, with drop-down bed.

The problem with the LT model was that the front lounge was actually the bed as well. I'd had that before in a MoHo and it's impractical so I'd almost be back to square 1. Now I have a rear bed, the front dinette can be used as a single bed (with a German kit you can buy) if needed.

This model also has an optional drop down single bed (£1500) or a double (£1800). But I've had me T6 for 7.5 years and 90% of the time it's me and the dog.

Looks cracking  .
I take it theres no oven in it ?
We looked at a few but the wife wouldnt consider anything without a full oven

It’s the same van. Weinsberg is Knaus. I believe it is the Austrian arm.

Weinsberg is £13k cheaper but loses some stuff. Electric step, Thule garage luggage system, extra window at the bed and reading lights. The one you reference has over cab beds an exact £1500-£1800. Other wise it’s the same van.

I like it a lot, best of both worlds, Mo-Ho living space and a T6 cab so you don't have to drive a Ducato/Boxer.

Quick update on this. I lost it with the agent dealing with a van centre. Eventually told them on Tuesday I’m done with more delays. TBF They are giving me my deposits back.

So I decided to try and sell mine for the same part ex I was getting and go elsewhere. Put it on auto trader on Tuesday night. 10 enquiries within 2 hours. 1st visit today and it went at the price I asked for.

Did a web search and me an @Jollyvan went to have a Look at Don Amott in Derby. £10600 cheaper so sold mine today, gave Amott a deposit and I get it late December or early January. Same van slightly higher spec.

Final follow up on the original dealer. I received a very large package Friday, from DVLA, rejecting the original registration. It was missing the required HMRC declarations.

It had the dealer cheque along with 10 other documents.

Just imagine if I’d allowed them to sweet talk me last Tuesday about a 2nd December delivery. There is another 5 weeks delay right there.

Bullet dodged.

When you say 'dealer' - is their usual offering crack-cocaine? That might explain their lack of expertise re HM Customs processes.
