Hey 👋🏻, I've been posting my updates in the new forum but as I've been doing a little more on my van recently I thought I'd move into here and share my progress..

Started out with a base Peppermint LWB T6

Then added windows, and a second row of seats with the help of my brother 💪🏻

Added sound deadening and insulation then got a bit downhearted when the nearside rear corner became inverted after coming out worse for wears from a fight with a car park barrier 🚧

January 2025 came around and I'd finally managed to save enough to repair the damage, I can't seem to find any photos of the damage 🤔, probably me never wanting to see it again 🤣

With my spirit rejuvenated, and our house sold, it was time to crack on with the next lot of jobs.

First up was hiding the interior metalwork with stretch carpet, adding more insulation, cutting some new panels (because the old ones weren't salvageable) and covering these in stretch carpet, along with some hidden trim clips 🫥

Once that was finished, and while I had the bench seat out, I sound proofed and cleaned! The cab floor. I'm keeping the standard cab flooring because we're an active family that get out and about so dirt is inevitable!

Oh and somewhere in there I've fitted curtains in the back, changed the front discs and pads and improved the handling with powerflex bushes 🔧

Next up is fitting some speakers for the little ones in the rear and praying I have enough carpet for the headlining, before that goes back in.

I've been enjoying getting stuck into another project, even if the new house will take over in the coming months 😭

Anyways, that's my van and my progress so far 😬

After researching on here and elsewhere I've decided to fit some speaker pods just behind the second row of seats. I managed to grab some cheap as the 3D print wasn't perfect, but nothing that a quick sand couldn't fix 💪🏻

As the space here is small, I've opted for 10cm speaker pods. To help them blend in, I've carpeted them to match the interior, this shape is definitely fun to carpet 🤪

Speakers are ordered, along with some more hidden trim clips and replacement headlining strip clip/pins 📦

Found a little extra light-weight dodo sound deadening so I decided to stick it on the roof then carpeted the headlining panels before fitting the rear (need to sort the speaker wiring before the middle one goes back up).

Today was also the first long drive in the van with the current levels of sound deadening and I'm super happy with the noise levels, it's nice to see hear the hard work paying off 😅

Definitely noticed where the noise is still coming from which means that the scuttle and cab doors are now on the list for sound deadening 📝

Today I managed to...
✅ Wire rear speakers into the headunit
✅ Route the word to the back of the van
✅ Fit the muddle headlining section
✅ Mount the speaker pods
✅ Wire in and fit the speakers
💸 Order some longer headlining pins for the headlining strips
🎶 Test out the rear speakers and think that I now need new front speakers 🤦🏻‍♂️

Tesa taped the exposed wire so they're not so... exposed 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tesa taped the wires to the existing ones so they don't rattle around and to keep everything near and tidy

Pods with speakers for the second row, I think the kids might stop complaining that they can't hear the music 🤞🏻
