My Ears Cried !!

Collected my 68 plate black Caravelle Exec today and after twiddling a few settings off I go. My head rang with 'you cannot be serious', 'really', 'what the f**k', and so on. And that is when my ears cried, well not really.

It's true, the speaker quality is absolute carp. I could not listen to my music so I turned it over to R4.

On another thread I have already questioned the speakers, following a bit of lurking on here, and had a lot of responses. Thanks.

Tomorrow I will be calling Absolut5 to see about some Eton speakers, insulation and fitting requirements.

I have a load of observations about the drive which I am happy to share if of interest but they have probably been covered elsewhere. This is my 1st VW van based vehicle so it will take a while to acclimatise.

This is interesting, because I think my radio sounds really good. I'm not sure if they use different speakers, or if it's because my cab is all enclosed, but when i'm pumping out a bit of Stormzy, or Abba, it sounds perfectly sufficient to me, and that's coming from a 5 series that had all the Bose upgrade, and the wife's mini that also has the upgraded speakers.

Maybe i'm just getting old, and everything looks and sounds good to me.

I have a t6 Shuttle, ( recently acquired) and was immediately impressed with the sound quality of the stock system. I thought thats refreshing, no need to spend a fortune on music upgrades! It sounds awesome at low or high volume. Maybe I'm just easily pleased?

Mines a shuttle and the stock speakers are sheeite...try find someone who has upgraded and have a listen,the difference is like night and day and not a dear upgrade but well worth it.

We have a Caravelle Exec too and the speakers are decent with Apple Car Play / high bit rate Spotify. I’m coming from a Harman Kardon system and I still don’t think the stock speakers are that bad!

I've got an Exec too, and whilst it might look posh, we have to remember, it is still a van, so not everything will be like a car with the same price ticket.
