Why car brakes by itself when I’m leaving drive way, I hate it when it’s happens ??? Please help to turn this off

If your driveway is steep and downhill, as the drive levels out and the van is still pointing down hill, the front radar sees the ground as an obstacle and engages the city brake function. It's quite common on lowered vans.

You can turn off 'front assist' in the settings menu. It's all in the handbook. However, should you have a bump and it turns out that you have turned off a safety feature, you might have a problem.

FRONT ASSIST (with radar as a sensor) reacts to moving objects ONLY.
In addition, these objects must be on the move in the same direction as the vehicle with such a assist system.
Another words FRONT ASSIST doesn't react to standstill objects at all as well as oncoming traffic.

But the emergency city braking must work, as it's to stop you from hitting stationary traffic & pedestrians.

City breaking is a kind of subsystem of FRONT ASSIST with a speed limit.
Another example of VW's approach to make money, in a few different ways, out of one sensor.
T6 FRONT ASSIST based on 7E0 radar reacts to moving traffic in the same direction only. There is no pedestrian detection on 7E0 radar(3QF has it and it can be adopted to work on PQ platform, including PQ25).

Thank you for your reply, I did what you said and had a same thing happened:(

If you've turned all the anti-collision systems off and it's still happening could the van be making contact with the floor, causing it to feel like the brakes are being applied?
