I've had a look but if there is any info missed it.

Has anyone run their MMI from the leisure battery, to avoid either the 20(?) min auto shut off or the possibility of flattening the starter battery when using it for a longer time.

It seems a reasonable idea, but Im not sure if it's possible or not?

The shut off time is not the power supply its inbuilt so separate power wont overcome this

Thanks makes sense. Would still be preferable to so could at least keep switching it on without the flat battery worry.

The OEM Infotainment system puts a "Low Battery" warning on the screen well before flat battery. (I've seen on that Composition Media = 6" display no Nav). If I remember correctly Battery Management (via VCDS) reported at that point about 20Ah remaining.

Mine has gone one step further and actually shut the stereo off to save battery when I was working on the van once.
