Main earth strap

2015 T6 DSG..
Where abouts is the main earth strap?
Van broke down last week and everything pointed to the alternator which i replaced.
Today I’ve had a trailer plugged into my van and I’d left the lights on for 30mins. It completely killed the van.
Took ages to jump off but managed to get it running again.
Tested the battery and it shows up as great?
I’m now thinks the alternator was fine in the first place and it’s an earth fault?

Its on the right hand side of the engine bay, near the engine mount to the right of the timing belt cover.
There have been issues with corrosion so don’t rely on a glance, better to remove and inspect.

Worthwhile getting a jump lead between the earth terminal on the battery, and connecting it to the lifting eye (somewhere metal) on the engine to see if it then charges.
