mine is misbehaving tonight.
On the way back from the station I flicked them on and they didn’t dip for an oncoming car, then when I got into street lights they dipped, but back on the lanes they came onto full and then dazzled the next oncoming car so I had to double push to bring them on manually.

Not had this before so Ill check the camera tomorrow in the daytime.

I had a couple of occasions when mine did this ,wouldn't dip when cars came in view.
I put it down to camera being dirty

I think I understand the issue now...

I climbed up on the front wheel to look at the area where the sensors and camera are at the top of the windscreen expecting to see dirt on the screen and then I saw what was happening, condensation!
It looks like a design failure, there was a lot of condensation on the windscreen so this must have blurred the image the camera was seeing and this because the camera is not fitted flush to the windscreen like the other sensors but set back on the housing of the mirror mount and away from the glass so if there is condensation on the screen it obscures the camera!

I have had trouble with the auto high beam 'AHB' too.. It wouldn't come on at all!
VW took a look at it but without perfect (dark , low lit road with no traffic) conditions it was difficult for them to test. They did however advise that the minimum speed for the AHB to work is et to 37 mph. On investigation they found out that this can be set down to 30 mph. Useful to know! To note, I believe deactivation occurs when you drive slower than 18 mph.
On test I found that it worked but only activated above 37 mph, at least it works now..

It can be set as low as 5mph, I have set mine to this

Thats amazing and I could do with setting the speed much lower but when I asked VW said that the minimum was 30 mph and I'm keen to keep things 'above board' at least while its still within the warranty period.
I am intrigued how it can be done though? Mine is a 17 plate Kombi.

They plug in the vcds lead and go into the settings and reduce the speed limit ,does not affect anything .

I told VW that I had done this on my last T6, that said no issues with warranty as it’s only a light setting

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, its interesting that the action is not considered to falter warranty, I would like to alter the speed if possible but I assume the vcds lead is a specialist piece of kit?

Have a look on the map ,there maybe someone who can do it for you .
