Lower Grills Popping Out

I bring my van over to France a few times a year, and when I’m driving it on the motorways in hot conditions the lower grills (outer edges) always pop out.

This seems to only happen when the ambient temperature is quite high (above 30C) and I’m pressing on a bit (130kph) so I’m guessing it’s a combination of the bumper softening up in the heat and bending slightly with the aero load, which the grills are not doing, and they’re popping out.

Has anyone else come across this, and do you have a solution?

Are you sure the drag from the massive splitter isn’t distorting the bumper at higher speeds. Most bumpers these days have the rigidity of a yogurt pot.

Solution is, remove the bumper and get access to the clips from behind. More than likely broken tabs.
Either bond in place with sikaflex or hog rings as someone as suggested earlier.
Front bumper removal is very easy to do.
10mins no problem.
