So it’s a bit like a humming sound. Haven’t been using the leisure battery for months and just drive the camper maybe twice a week. No smells noticed and no loose connections that I can see. Any ideas?

Cheers

False alarm!! One of the kids must have pressed the water pump button!!

You could do with a battery post fuse strip for those feeds.

Sorry Loz, I haven’t got a clue about these things. What does that mean? What are post fuse strips?

A copper bar bolts onto the live post, bolted to the bar are various fuses one for each of your cables to protect the cables and prevent a fire if you were to get a short.
I’ll post a pic of an example later.

A combination of something like this:

I would suggest the post fuse(left) on the battery post, attach to that the big cable and the smaller fuse box, then wire your smaller feed cables each to an appropriate fuse.

Your large charging cable does have a fuse by the looks of it so you could get away with just the fuse carrier on the right for those smaller cables, especially as all this is next to the gas. (Think bomb) :)
