Leisure battery charge

Should my leisure battery be showing a higher voltage when the engine is running, presumed it would show 14.1ish??

Depends what is charging it. Tell us more about what type of charger you have please.

Only just picked it up today, it has a 150W solar charger through Victron mppt controller, and has a split charge system but not sure on what type?

You'll need a proper dcdc charger if you want the best performance from your leisure electrics.

Could I replace this one in situ next to the battery, if so which dc-dc charger should I be looking at

Get a Victron Bluetooth one to match your solar charger, then you can view the operation through the same App.

You can yes but you'll need to get an ignition switch live to wherever the charger is.

I have used both ctek d250sa and a redarc bcdc 1240 but there are now several on the market. I would go with redarc again though certainly and would also look at the victron orion.
