Kukoo fridge issues

A solid amber light just means that the fridge has reached its set temperature and cycled the compressor to off.
When the compressor starts again , ie open the door and let cold out , the amber light will go off.

When the amber light flashes (maybe goes red )
Its a series of fault codes.
However many flashes indicate which fault.

Do yourself a favour and read the manual , via a link somebody posted earlier.

I have read it. It hasn’t even got amber light up
Up the point It will be warm again tomorrow no doubt. It won’t stay cold.

So now I’m home it’s warm again. It was cold this morning when I left even the ice compartment was starting to frost over, I left the fridge pulled out to allow ventilation etc Now it’s warm again, amber light suggests it was working fine.. So it must be the leisure battery! Fully charged batter light with smart charger on repair function ,took the charger off the battery Left only fridge running on leisure battery, tested battery & its 20% & fridge off/warm lights on but wa. Plugged the battery charger back in & the fridge just came on Can this battery even support the fridge it says minimal off grid use it’s 115ah So this happens which is why fridge lasts few hours then. So
I don’t need a new fridge it’s a batter issue. Obviously I have no clue I buy a new camper & just expect it to work like it should. There’s flip Over switches one in back one under bonnet they are meant to charge the battery when driving I was told.

Sounds like the battery is toast. It only takes a couple of renters to drain the battery down way below 50% and it’ll be knackered.
Have a look at fitting a bigger capacity LiFePo battery and remove the problem.

Yea a coupe did leave something plugged in & drained it first night Sounds like it’s the battery. I think in lithium compatible with my set up so
I will definitely upgrade thanks

Who did the install?

That's shocking.

Literally.

Is there not an electric hook up? Did you put that charger on or the installer?

Not sure it was all done when i
Got it. There is a hook up that thing is a smart charger that reads the battery it’s not on all the time. Someone lent it to us to check the battery. I’ve ordered a lithium battery

Can you not run the fridge with the charger connected and on keeping the battery topped up surly the fridge would work ok indicating it IS a battery problem, if it goes warm then it would be the fridge being faulty

So there was no mains charger when you bought the van?

The only thing charging the leisure battery is presumably a split charge relay, which charges the battery when it is being driven?

No wonder it went flat.

This one should be better

Whatever you do, do not buy that battery and swap it in.

That's a disaster waiting to happen. Bearing in mind the state of the electrics, the wiring is unlikely to be capable enough of carrying the current that a Lithium will try to pull from the alternator.

Take it to a professional.

You would also need a B2B charger to charge the battery while driving, and a decent mains charger to charge it up on hookup.

If you are renting a van out, it needs to be safe. And you need to prove it is safe.

I dread to think what the gas system looks like.
