Kombi rear threshold - am I missing something?!

Am I missing some 'bungs' or covers for these screw holes on my shiny new Kombi??!!

If not and that is really how they should come - then where can I get something to stuff in that dirt magnet of a hole?!

Early T5 were fitted with plastic bungs in these holes but VW discontinued them after a few years. Part number 7H0 863 559 followed by a colour code Black = 9B9 or Art Grey = 3U6. I think there are after market ones available, you won' like the VW price!

I couldn’t believe this when I got mine, picked some up from Travelin-Lite for £3.60 delivered which fit fine. Saved a trip to VW.

I did wonder if it was to allow the screws to dry out properly and prevent them rusting or something so coated them with ACF-50 before fitting.
