Kombi rear seat reverse direction

Hi, anyone attempted to reverse direction of 3 seater rear bench in kombi (2019 swb t6).
In theory it seems to me that if floor brackets removed (from underneath van) and rotated 180 degs, then the seats should fit back in facing rear of van.
Will this work??

Possibly but I doubt that VW ever crash tested and/or certified it that way.....
Looking at the design if the base I suspect that its strength is not in preventing it folding backward.

Thank you. Intersting....thankfully the seat will not be used when the van is moving...I'm turing it into a mobile site office, so need seats reversed in the back for meetings etc.

have you thought about fitting swivels in the front?
