Kitchen Table Rail

This weekend I planned on fitting my table bought from EVO Design, however the rail has come with a grey plastic part in the middle and I am not sure which way round it goes and what it is for.

Do I need it? and which way is up?

It's optional apparently. You use it if you want the table locked in one position all the time.

I didn't fit it as I reckon we will want to slide the table when in use.

I went through the same quandary. I looked at loads of interiors to see which way they had done it.

The result of my investigations was the way you’ve taken the picture. With the sticky out bit underneath, therefore locking the table in place once it on. Needless to say I found out after fitting mine incorrectly. Doh!
