Getting brassed off with sound system in my 6.1.
Drove up to Bedale on Monday. Put some tunes on from Spotify via the car play. All good for a few tracks then the dreaded crackle started! Made it almost impossible to listen to.
We’re off to France in August and there’s no way I’ll be able to put up with the crap sounds.
Question is, what causes the crackling?
Speakers, head unit or cable/input from phone?

My door speaker in my T6.1 Sportline vibrates mad! I have to turn down the settings as it vibrates sooo bad!
Need to take the door card off to sort but if I do that I may as well upgrade. Thing is id need a wiring diagram to add sub, tweeters and speakers as I’m a complete novice in that field!
I can build a house from start to finish but not confident in how to wire a sub and amplifier!
@Absolut5 any help here buddy!!

If it’s t standard composition media it’s a 99% chance it’s the head unit, though VW always deny it,

Had it myself, and stopped using CarPlay altogether initial I changed units

There is a threadon this that suggets a softwrare update that cures the issue....

Unfortunately it doesn't always cure the issue. Not in mine anyway. My dealers have been (or appeared to be) quite helpful. Apparently it is a software issue and changing the head unit wont do anything as they copy the software across from one head unit to another, so nothing will change.

I would love to know if thats true. And where to escalate this to if its not.
