Is indium grey written as grey in log book?

DVLA only use basic colours to describe vehicles.

Thank you for your email.

Although vehicle manufacturers use a wide range of colours for their vehicles, we only use the basic colours to cover the manufacturer's description. These basic colours are important for identification purposes and have been agreed with the manufacturers.

If you feel that the colour shown on your V5 registration document/V5C registration certificate is not correct, please indicate which colour matches your vehicle and return with your document/certificate to the address below:

The service book should have the options sticker on the rear pages. The paint code is in there. My log book is not to hand ATM but it's a four letter/digit code, which you can Google to confirm the colour.
Are you looking to confirm it's a specific colour for paint matching?
Edit, here is my logbook sticker as an example.
