I've fully silent coated everything in the cab and have closed cell foamed most things .
Ran out of stuff before foaming the doors so my question is do I coat the back of the door panel or the window reg ?
(The skin of the doors are already silent coated and foamed)
Also cab roof i have just done the main roof panel but none of the A pillars nor behind the roof grab handle area .

Nice. Want to do the same to my roof and some extra bits. Do the extra extra door seals, makes a big difference to lower noise.
Already got the seals on and all the previous sound deadening was done over ten years ago but I still i seem to suffer with condensation on the door panels and sun visors at times on really cold nights when camping in France over winter .

Not ply frosty , moisture resistant mdf (again been in 8 yrs + without problems) .

Mine was specially imported sonically neutral Baltic ply (Wickes ply) with dB rated mil spec Lidl clear spray. 🥸
For years I've wanted to put my old car setup in the camper but as there's always two of us cruising and one's a responsible adult 🤕 it doesn't happen.
There are a mixture of JL and Focal amps, even a couple of old school Alpine MRV 757 amps languishing in the loft and this bad boy lurking in a wardrobe...

Would run a treat from the leisure battery...

I've only got a pair of old skool Boston pro 8s left (that i was gonna fit in the doors) and a phoenix gold outlaw to power them . 😎 Been a few years since my SPL days.
The missus is defo the responsible one (boring AF) 😩

Any help guys ?
Do I foam the backs of the door panels or the window reg panel ?
Also the A posts which side ?

I wouldn't put foam in doors just butyl mass loading, I know it's supposed to be closed cell foam but the amount of water that goes through a door and the amount of times there's rust on the magnet and basket of dead speakers, just make a hood over the rear of the speaker and call it done.
Lightly knocking with the knuckle on each panel gives a pretty good idea of what will buzz or rattle in sympathy with a speaker.

I foamed the inside of the door but not the lower section 'wet zone' probably over 10 years ago and pleased to report no wet foam when I swapped the window reg a few weeks back.
Done the hood for the speakers 👍
I'll do the backs of the door cards too then
👍
