The time you put in now will repay you with a van that will be quieter, feel more solid and certainly warmer come the winter months.I started to strip my van to insulate and sound deaden today but in the past someone has made a half arsed attempt !!! This is going to take a little longer than I though lol
What a nightmare to remove the old junk........i can see me using the 5L of tar and glue remover i bought.

Yeah that is a plus thankfullyAtleast your carpet looks neat, you can clean of the original stuff and then redo it.
I'm going to try and do a panel or 2 every day .....1, because it's going to be boring and 2, to give my hands a rest lol. I got gloves thanks and i've gone all out and bought enough to do the arches, foam for the arch liners and 20mm think foam for under the wipers so should be warm and quiet after i'm done. The time you put in now will repay you with a van that will be quieter, feel more solid and certainly warmer come the winter months.
Lots of work but take your time and unlike the last person/company who did it, don’t cut corners.
Small hint, wear gloves as your hands will get hammered and also become very dry with the tar and glue remover
Don’t forget to sound deaden the scuttle then add the 20mm foam on top of it. Makes a huge difference spoken from experienceYeah that is a plus thankfully

Excuse the ignorance, what part/section are you referring to as the scuttle?Don’t forget to sound deaden the scuttle the. Add the 20nm foam on top of it. Makes a huge difference spoken from experience
Does it not cause any problem with water ingress? CheersDon’t forget to sound deaden the scuttle the. Add the 20nm foam on top of it. Makes a huge difference spoken from experience
The area below where your windscreen wiper sit into. At the base of your windscreen under the black plastic.Excuse the ignorance, what part/section are you referring to as the scuttle?
I haven’t noticed any at all. The foam is high density so doesn’t absorb liquid.
It won’t so long as you ensure the drain holes are clear.I bought the same foam as you but in the 20mm so is your fault if mine holds water LOL
