Sooooo,
I took the towbar off the van yesterday.
All was well however, now I have Error stop/start and Front assist unavailable.
When removing the wiring there were to different looms one which had been cut and taped under the rear bumper and one complete with trailer module under the bonnet.
Neither of these were working and I did want the towbar anyway.
In the process of removing wiring there was a cluster of wires under the passenger seat marked GETESTET this matched the wiring under the bonnet with the module. (Photo attached)
There was one dual wire orange and red that ran across the bulkhead and disappeared up behind the dash.
In one of the photos attached there was a clump of wires taped up and again not doing anything.
My concern is that inadvertently I’ve managed to remove part of the stop/start loom.
Luckily I’ve still got everything that was removed, only downside is that it would mean a complete strip out of the dash to find where it was connected.
Is it worth finding Someone with VCDS to code out the trailer module to start with?
