3 years to the day and it is the best decision we ever made. Sold the cars and we use the van as our daily drive and go away once a month all year round. So it is fitting that I we are sitting in a campsite in Cambridge.

All paid for Out of my pension lump sum. After buying the van we did spend a further 10k on paint work , suspension, comfort dash, lights and so on not forgetting the cushions so many cushions I don’t regret a penny of it.Congratulations!
Have you finished paying for it yet?
I will be celebrating when we finish paying. Hopefully we will still have an operational camper at the point

Yes - we go to Cherry Hinton for one of our stops in the winter months. It is only a short walk down to the pub at the traffic lights ( Beefeater type of place ) for a Sunday lunch or a bit of steak , which is fine.
I know how to put air in tyres and top up the Adblue that is about it. So making it run better …………… no chanceI went the other way... I bought it cheap and then figured out how to make and pay for it to run better
And a good bus service into town too.
I stayed there last year and am now trying to convice Chief Advisor that she'd like few nights there in winter.

We did this so that the cushions honour the "everything needs at least 2 uses in a small van rule":

Hey folks, been lurking for a while gathering useful advice as we considered if a van was right for us and now we have one on the drive the time was right to join fully and do the VIP thing to (potentially) do some electrical tinkering. Thanks everyone who posts advice here, it's a massive help...
