I hate this headunit already...

I have not had the T6.1 more than a month, and already i hate the headunit. It is stuck in privacy mode, i can not change it. I have an error 'U11B800', and despite changing the USB module to the latest via a new part from VW, it still does not work and i can not clear the fault code. I can't register with VW We-Connect because it won't connect to the internet (grey globe)....

The SOS unit is green, no other faults. Does anyone have any ideas?!

How else are they going to refute warranty claims and work out how much you’re likely to suck up being ripped off for services etc. if the van can’t dob you in to the mothership?

As for the head unit @ben5560 are you set on keeping the original or is now the time to consider an upgrade? Just a thought.

Im getting towards that point already I think, looking at options at the moment! I think it needs a software update, but MIB Solution is down so can't find it anywhere. If VW can't fix it with a software update, I'll give up and upgrade it.

If it won't connect to the internet, it may need a VKMS adaption carrying out, to make sure all units are connecting online as required.
As far as I'm aware, this is a dealer only process.. but 'specialists' may also be able to carry this out with VCDS or ODIS.

I think I may have saw that listed as an option in OBD11?

I'm not familiar with OBD11, so couldn't say for sure.

So finally got it looked at today with VW, they managed to remove component protection. I found the radio had been replaced like for like by the previous owner. The headunit now gives me the option to enter the We Connect pairing code, but as its stuck in privacy mode still.... i can't enter the code!!!!
