Hi guys,I’ve been a long time lurker but I finally got myself a T6 after slowly getting convinced by the Mrs and attending a few festivals. The ultimate plan is to turn it into a camper so we can explore and be outdoors more. It’s a high line with high mileage and a little rough around the edges but I’ll see it right!

I tinker around with cars for fun so I thought I’d lend my hand to something different.

I’m hoping to document the build on here and on my YouTube channel. You can check that out if you wish? I will link it below. Hope to get to know you and get ideas and also give help where I can.

One question, why are you considering getting rid of the deadlocks on your van? They are a great security feature and will deter a lot of criminals. And VW Campers are very theft attractive.

Thanks I will be putting windows in so the side lock will be redundant. The rear ones leak water into the tailgate so they will be getting removed and welded up. That’s the plan anyway
