That’s the strange thing. I did. Called the right number and got all the right options and picked modified camost, but seems I ended up with someone in Birmingham. You need to speak to the thatcham branch of Howdens, they are the camper specialists.

Yep that’s the one I called. Can only assume they have some call diversion? Anyway it’s been bounced back to the right branch now so will see what they say
They can and they do.I can’t see a broker ever swapping.
And thatBrokers, just like insurance companies, will always want to maximise profit.
What annual mileage did you specify? Obviously, if that number accurately reflects your needs, then you don't have any wriggle-room, but if you've over-estimated 'just in case' then it might be worth knowing that I found Comfort's pricing to be massively sensitive to annual mileage. Just a thought.Hilarious call with Howdens this morning. Started with “we’ve got some very good news for you … we’ve managed to get you on with the underwriter we originally quoted with”. Yay! I think, so the quote should be close to 510 quid right? Wrong, 1100 quid. Ffs. So it looks like flux are the cheapest at double cost of my current van. Tbf it’s double the value so I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised.
So far I’ve done:
Adrian flux - 850
Comfort - 1140
Brentacre - no quote
Howdens - 1040
Just Kampers - 1290
Caravan Guard - tbc
Performance direct - 2400
Anyone I missed that is worth a call?
6k, which is a lot lower than we had on current van but have since got a car for the Mrs. Wouldn’t want to go lower tbhWhat annual mileage did you specify? I always thought claims where one vehicle careered into the back of another were usually pretty quick to deal with? Two months sounds way too long.We were stationary waiting for blue light ambulance to zig zag up road …. Grandma plowed into back of in an X90 at 50 mph
Assume that’s your main vehicle tho? Mine was 12 but the Mrs has a car now so only now used for away trips mainlyJeez I upped my mileage to 14k lol
