Our T2 has a scoobie conversion, it is a game changer for sure!
Certainly makes them shift doesn’t it! Was a swine to get the cooling right - had the scoops on the side and the engine lid was on an actuator switched from the cab to open it a few inches to get some airflow. I’ve not had a T2 but do like the look of them!
They do shift and Derbyshire hills, a doddle compared to how it used to be! Scotland, drop it in 3rd gear and it copes very well.
Ours has the RJES scoop underneath, runs a steady 84'C when up to temperature and to be fair, its behaved itself when driven in hot weather!

We do get some double checks from folk especially if we are accelerating or driving through a town! Yeah the cooling is sorted, RJES spent a long time getting it right for bays, even down to the colour of the cap on the expansion tank

Have you gone the whole hog with brakes and steering too?
Nope, we refurbished the brakes all round and ensured the calipers had new pistons, seals etc and used EBC pads & shoes. Steering box was also checked for play along with all of the steering components.
I suppose we could install a parachute just in case
