As per title. We have a 330w panel but I’m yet to see more than 220w in direct midsummer sun on one of the hottest days. This is as reported by the Clayton app so idk if that could be misreporting but I don’t expect so. Not sure how close to max we should be expecting?

normally 50% to 80% of STC rated value. (Standard Test Conditions of 1kw per meter squared)

some panel may get you higher - Renogy are good for that.

the problem is as the panel get HOT the performance drops off.

so expect 50-80%

+++++++

assuming the charger is in BULK charge mode and the power has somewhere to go.

a 500W panel will show 1W if the battery is charged.

At Bala last year I was using my 220 watt Renogy suitcase panels because my second flexi roof panel had died. It was sunny but not hot. According to my Victron mppt it hit a maximum of 244 watts.
Having fitted my new forever rigid Victron 270 watt panel, it has hit a maximum of 274 watts on several occasions giving a maximum 20A, again according to Victron. 250 has been the maximum during the heat we have felt recently. They certainly prefer cooler temperatures.
